Dislikes - Forgetting to drink her coffee/tea, not doing her pre-performance "ritual", sore thoarts and runny noses, the smell of nicotine, and reckless people

[Personality]:

In a nutshell, Lyra is a very gentle and calming person. She is always ready to listen to you, but never expect her to say anything. She might be gentle and calm, but she does not like to share her thoughts with anyone; she can be eerie silent if she is not interacting with someone who is extroverted or more sociable than she is. She really is a woman of few words socially speaking, but whenever she picks up her instrument(s) she is such a different person. Her emotions are all channelled into the lyrics or piece of music she is performing...There might be times where she will express herself more vocally and dramatically through music than through talking. She is also a very supportive and loyal friend, she will always be there if you need a hug or just have someone listen to you vent. Whenever she does not know what to say, she would play you some music to help relax your tense muscles.

She believes music has a very charmingly relaxing element to it that is also so mysterious and miraculous. Music can do wonders for a lot of people, and she is very motivated to play the music well to make the people around her feel more at peace and relaxed, having a lot of tension and bottled up emotions is very unhealthy. She knows very well what she does is temporary, but she does the best she can for those around her. She would like people around her to be happy.

[History]:

Lyra is a single child of a middle-working class family. Her parents were never home much, but they were supportive whenever they are available. Lyra was always to herself a lot, and she never really talks to people on her own, but her eyes would always light up whenever some good music came on the radio. She would sing and dance, and invite those around her to join her in the temporary fun and joy. Her parents and school teachers took good note of this, because throughout her education, she was an average student who excelled most in school subjects relating to music. Through some hardwork and guidance, she was able to get scholarships and loans for music schooling throughout her life. She worked hard at school and performing, she also took on some jobs to make some extra cash for her family as well.

Once she was done school, she had internal debates and thoughts about either continuing her education or maybe start working as a musician. This debate kind of kept her up at night for a while, but being a regular at Life's Joy and noticing there were some job openings for musicians, she took this as a sign for her to take a different route in her life. The atmosphere around her favourite cafe always seemed to have struck a chord with her, it could be the nice and peaceful environment, it could have been the well-knit surrounding and relations amongst those who worked there...She had no clear idea what it might be, but she took this chance to be part of it and witness it for herself. She applied to the position of Jazz Musician, and that is where she is now.

[Additional Information]:

She has a performance ritual where a half-hour before a performance, she have a mint. The freshness from mints make her feel like everything is new and fresh (even if she is performing something a second time).

Customers would know if it is her shift, if the first song being performed is "You've Got a Friend in Me" or "Stand By Me" before she opens up the platform for either freeform music playing or request music.

On Fridays, she likes to invite customers to dance. She tends to play a lot of more lively and upbeat music.

On Wednesdays, she plays acoustic versions of songs and hums along with them instead of singing the lyrics.

She majored in music school with the Tenor Saxophone, but she also plays the guitar very well. Her piano skills are moderate, but she would not perform with the piano unless she knows the song well.

She likes being called Lyra more than Cherry; people mistakenly calls her 'Cheery' a lot, and Lyra rolls off the tongue a lot nicer.
